Find the mistake
I have to admit I was a bit hunting for that motive. I cannot really recall when the waste managers of Chemnitz decided to replace these old socialist stone bins with new blue, plastic and fancy ones. But when they did you could find everywhere in Chemnitz these new trash bins and they all have been positioned like the one above. Now, some of you might not see the deal at first sight. But please try to imagine the street with a bit more traffic and no special bus slot (like you have here). Then, imagine yourself trying to throw a chewing gum or some paper in the trash? Noticed something? When I first noticed it ... some months ago ... I actually wanted to cover it in this fine blog. But then the responsibles change the arrangement and switched the bin to the other side, facing the pavement. I found out this week that they re-arranged it back facing the street. I'm really curious why they did it? I should perhaps phone them :p
